New Feature: Districting!

Relationships aren’t bounded by district lines. This means that relational programs can untap enormous potential in terms of their reach – and it means that trying to pinpoint voters or constituents in a particular district can be challenging.

That’s why we’re rolling out districting in Rally.

Districting allows mobilizers to easily see the districts their contacts live in – and, most excitingly, districting allows admins to target actions at contacts based on their district. Rally supports district identification and targeting up and down the ballot – at the state, county, congressional, state legislative and state senate levels.

How does it work?

Rally programs are all about moving people up a customizable ladder of engagement. Mobilizers log where each contact falls along the ladder, then take targeted actions set by admins to move them to the next rung.

Now, in addition to being able to target actions based on where a contact falls on the Campaign Ladder, admins can target actions based on a contact’s district.

That means admins can get even more specific in equipping mobilizers to meet each of their friends where they are.

EXAMPLES

  • Early voting schedules different in different counties? No problem. Admins can create actions that prompt the mobilizer to share the right information for the right contact at the right time, based on which county each contact lives in.

  • Running a coordinated program for a state legislative caucus? Perfect! You can make sure your mobilizers are ready with info about how to volunteer for every candidate in your caucus, without worrying about overwhelming them – they’ll get that info in the form of customized action items for each of their contacts.

  • Planning a Weekend of Action for an advocacy initiative with different asks based on region? We’ve got you. You can target different advocacy actions at different contacts based on where they live.

  • Running a campaign for a state legislative district? Love it. You can make sure your in-district voters are making detailed plans to vote, while asking out-of-district contacts to make grassroots donations and volunteer.

We’d love to talk about how best to use districting to support your Rally program. Get in touch!
